Laser Removal of Coloured Tattoos

Black ink is the easiest to remove as it is able to absorb a lot of the laser light energy, so not much intensity is required in the laser pulse. Also the 1064nm Wavelength required has very little impact on the bodies natural pigments and skin. . Coloured inks especially lighter colours (yellow, sky blue, orange, pink, greens) on the other hand are more likely to cause many side effects. The biggest issue, is that when the coloured ink is shattered by the laser, alot of the ink additives ( to make the different colours) are released and can cause an allergic response like blistering, bleeding, purpura, swelling. It is impt to follow the aftercare instructions, don't pick or scrub the area, keep covered while out or active, air afterhours, no exercise or pools etc Needless to say, the blisters etc do settles within a few days and the skin returns to normal. The ink will fade and be ready for treatment in 6-8 weeks www.doffandflux.com.au
