Laser treatment and Sun Exposure .... NO!

It is critical for the tattoo area to have absolutely zero sun exposure for a minimum of 4 weeks prior to Laser treatment. The increased pigmentation in the skin (suntan), can attract the laser light energy, and subsequently cause thermal damage (burn) to the skin. Even spray on tans can cause similar complications, so a minimum 2 week wait after a spray is recommended.
